Bernice McGinnis

Bernice McGinnis, 88, of Arthurdale, WV, died on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Preston Memorial Hospital.

Bernice was born June 17, 1926, in Austin, WV, a daughter of the late Oscar and Bess (Spangler) Burgoyne.

She is survived by one son, Joey McGinnis of Arthurdale; three grandchildren and spouses, Michael and Dawn McGinnis of Arthurdale, David and Sonja McGinnis of Mechanicsville, VA, Tracy McGinnis of Reedsville; three great-grandchildren, Shane, Logan and Torin McGinnis; two step-great-grandchildren, Matthew and Jessica Clark; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton "Bud" McGinnis in 2004; her daughter, Karen McGinnis in 1999; four brothers, Ralph, Bobby, Jack and Harry Burgoyne; one sister, Virginia Burgoyne Lyons.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel; 295 South Price Street, on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8pm; on Monday, June 1, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul G. Rebelo officiating. Interment will be at Shay's Chapel Cemetery.
