Cecilia Helen (Saab) Alexander

Cecilia (Saab) Alexander, 94, of Morgantown, WV, died March 16, 2015 at her home.
Cecilia was born to the late Kicer Moses & Annie (Khoury) Saab in Wallace, on February 13, 1921.

She graduated from Wallace High School in 1939 and Mountain State Business College of Parkersburg in 1942. Cecilia was a member of the Alpha Iota Chapter of the International Honorary Business Sorority. She was employed at Moses Brothers Department Store in Wallace and First Federal Savings & Loan of Parkersburg. She moved to Morgantown where she met and married the late John R. Alexander, Sr. and they worked together in the family-owned business. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America for many years and served as a Den Mother with the Cub Scouts. She was a lifelong member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, formerly St. Theresa's, and the St. Francis Athletic Boosters. All of her children are graduates of St. Francis de Sales Catholic School.

She is survived by her children, Robert Alexander and wife Patricia of Suffolk, VA; Mary Ann Dodson of Indiana, PA; John Alexander, Jr. and wife Marguerite of Morgantown; Kay Michael Alexander of Morgantown; Barbara and husband Carlton McKinney of Bruceton Mills; Karen and husband David McMichael of Hudson, OH; and Dr. Diana Burke and husband William of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; 10 grandchildren, Alicia Alexander-Helms and husband Nathan Helms, Michael Alexander and wife Christy, Jennifer and husband Neil Carney, Kimberly Alexander, Stephanie Alexander, Melanie and husband Dr. Christopher Kincaid, Tiffany Alexander and fiancé Matthew Dolly, William and Nicholas Burke, John McMichael; 6 great-grandchildren, Rylan, Adalai and Grayson Carney, Raleigh and Holston Helms and Jane Cecilia Alexander; her siblings, Peter Saab, Blanche Saab and Agnes (Saab) Mancinelli, all of Morgantown; her brother and sisters-in-law, Emil and Virginia Alexander, Helen Shearer, Patricia "Patty Jo" Liberatore, all of Morgantown and Marguerite Reiner and Dolores Solomon of Florida; many nieces, nephews & cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Cecilia was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heather Dodson; her father and mother-in-law Mike and Martha Alexander; brothers Paul and Joseph Saab; nephew Timothy Saab; brothers and sisters- in-law, Vincent Mancinelli, Joan Saab, George and Katherine Alexander, Sam and Emma Angotti, Bill and Mary Deaton, John Solomon, Daniel Shearer, II, Edward Liberatore and Jack Reiner.

Friends will be received on Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church; Friday, March 20, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. concelebrated by the Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati STD, VE and Reverend Fr. Mario Claro. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. A prayer vigil will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 8:30 p.m. Services are under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Mancinelli Chapel.

The family requests that any memorial donations be made in Cecilia's memory to the John Alexander Foundation, Inc., 2800 Cranberry Square, Morgantown, WV 26508, benefiting St. Francis de Sales Catholic School.
