Charles McNear Obituary
Charles Oliver "Little Bill" McNear 62 of Kingwood, WV went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, due to a Four-Wheeler Accident.
He was born on May 19, 1954 in Preston and was a son of the late Charles Franklin and Sarah Elizabeth (Simpson) McNear.
Charles worked as a tree trimmer for Asplundh for over 35 years. He retired in 2012 when he was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer, which he has battled the past four years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends along with hunting, fishing, berry picking and ginseng.
Charles is survived by his wife of 39 years, Gladys (Dumire) McNear; one daughter, Joann Short and husband Ernest III; two sons, Johnny McNear and companion Linda Jones and William McNear and companion Cassie Hoover all of Kingwood; two sisters, Hilda Haskiell of Kingwood and Suzanne Collins Of Terra Alta; one brother, Carl McNear of Kingwood and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry and Steve McNear; one sister, Patty Hershman.
Friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the time of the service with Pastor Ronald G. Ford officiating.
