Franklin D. Soccorsi, "Franco", 78, of Morgantown, WV, was born on November 30, 1936 and passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015, at the home of his sister Eleanor, in Morgantown.
Franklin was a son of the late Guido and Tressa (Pegley) Soccorsi of Masontown, WV.
He was a driver for Freedom Ford Lincoln and enjoyed driving across the country doing dealer trades. Franklin also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and was an avid Nascar fan.
He is survived by four sons and spouses, Frank and Diana Soccorsi of Fort Mill, SC, Joseph and Shelly Soccorsi of Morgantown, Vincent Soccorsi and companion Fredona Ford of Masontown and Jamie Frisenda of Fairmont; five daughters and spouses, Denise Soccorsi of Masontown, Bernadette (Soccorsi) and Luigi Long of Morgantown, Tasha Soccorsi of Morgantown, Tali Soccorsi of Morgantown and Chasity (Soccorsi) and Adel Al'Khalaf of Qatar; two sisters, Eleanor (Soccorsi) Pawlak of Morgantown and Helen (Soccorsi) Herring of Charleston; eight grandchildren, Zachary Soccorsi, Adam Soccorsi, Jordan Soccorsi, Teryn Soccorsi, Arielle Vankirk, Abdulaziz Al'Khalaf, Sheikha Al'Khalaf and Abdulla Al'Khalaf.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter and spouse, Dolorita Renee (Soccorsi) Vankirk and David Vankirk; four brothers, Albert, Rudolph, Junior and Alfred Soccorsi.
Rotruck-Lobb Crematory provided cremation services. A private graveside service will be held with the family at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at 122 South High Street, Morgantown, WV 26501.
