Irene Spahr

Irene (Myers) Spahr, 79, of Kingwood, WV, died on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at her home.

Irene was born October 19, 1937, in Borgman, a daughter of the late Edward Paul and Ruby Irene (Weaver) Myers and step-mother, Opel (Miller) Myers.

She was a 1955 graduate of Kingwood High School. She worked for several years as an operator for C&P Telephone Company and also as a representative for Mary Kay Products. She was a member of Grace Chapel, a volunteer for The Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department Buckwheat Festival Royalty Pageant, Heartland Nursing home and also as a pole worker during elections. Irene enjoyed her flowers, gardening, cooking for her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dale "Cart" Spahr; one son and spouse, Michael Dale "Spo" and Janie Spahr of Kingwood; three daughters and spouses, Kathy Lynn Fullmer of Clarksburg, Misty Dawn and Jesse Miller of Fairmont, April Chaun and Brian Lyons of Kingwood; five grandchildren, Darcy Jennings, Ashlyn Spahr, Devin Miller, Kaleb Miller, Kayla Lyons; one great-grandchild, Casen Jennings.

Friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8pm; on Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Michael Argabrite officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kingwood.
