Lawrence Truman Goff

Lawrence Truman "Toot" Goff, 85, of Kingwood, WV, died on Monday, May 4, 2015, at the home of his daughter, Jane Stanton in Albright.

Lawrence was born August 11, 1929, in Rowlesburg, a son of the late Howard Dallis and Jessie (Trowbridge) Goff.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. Lawrence worked over 35 years as a coal miner. He enjoyed playing his guitar and also enjoyed helping family, friends and neighbors.

He is survived by one son, Howard Goff of Reedsville; two daughters and spouse, Jane and Jim Stanton of Albright, Cheryl Cramer and companion Tom Frantz of Cranesville; his grandchildren and spouses, Harry "Brad" and Stacy Goff, Melissa "Missy" and Moe Pritt, Kelly and Justin Wheeler, Susan Mullenax, Lori and Rodney Lewis, Jessica Cramer; his great-grandchildren, Robin, Rachel, Daisy and Edwin Harper, Emily, Alison, and Ashli Pritt, Amaya and Kamden Wheeler, McKenzie and Brooklyn Lewis; his sister, Margaret Smith; three sisters-in-law and spouse, Izetta Goff of Kingwood, Helen Goff of Windham, OH, Dolly and Clinton Ridenour of Kingwood; two brothers-in-law, Herbert Stevens of Fellowsville, Kenny Stevens of Gilbert, SC; his aunt, Chloe Goff of Rowlesburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Ruby Jane (Stevens) Goff, November 15, 2006; three brothers, Harry, Clifford and Robert Goff; two sisters, Bernice and Lucy Goff.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, from 4-8pm, and on Thursday, May 7, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Sonny McNear officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by Preston County VFW's, Vietnam Veterans of America, (VVA) Chapter 977, Preston County and WVANG Military Funeral Honors, Camp Dawson.
