Robert Edward Shrout

Robert Edward Shrout, 74, of Rowlesburg, WV, died on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Preston Memorial Hospital.

Robert was born September 6, 1940, in Kingwood, a son of the late Harry Glennville Edwin and Cecile Virginia (Teets) Shrout.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Marquette Cement and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Robert loved fishing, hunting, and camping especially at Smoke Hole and he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, William "Scott" Shrout, Steven Shrout, both of Terra Alta; one daughter, Tina Johnson of Petersburg; five brothers, Freddie Shrout of Kingwood, Donald Shrout, Ralph Shrout, Garnet Shrout, Harry Shrout, all of Reedsville; two sisters, Gladys Odom of Kingwood, Joyce Johnson of Reedsville; 13 grandchildren, Derek Johnson, Dustin Kimble, Killey Kimble, Brandon Shrout, Ryan Shrout, Dani Shrout, Cody Shrout, Jeremy Dunsmore, Kristy Dunsmore, Sierra Shrout, Bella Shrout, Bentley Shrout, Rebecca Shrout; six great-grandchildren.

In addition to this parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Mae Shrout, August 19, 1992; one son, Rodney Shrout; one grandchild, Mandy Kimble; two brothers, James Shrout, Lewis Shrout; one sister, Nadine Young.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral in the funeral home chapel at 6:00 p.m. with The Reverend James R. Riggs officiating. Rotruck-Lobb Crematory will provide cremation services following the service, after which interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery.
