Memorial Property

Turning to the rich history of the rural cemeteries of the 19th century, the architects of Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery preserved the historic elements of a time when cemeteries became, not only places of mourning, but also places for those wanting to experience the peacefulness and serenity of beautiful gardens.

Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery staff, Jim, Craig and Tammy, provides families with exceptional settings for the permanent memorials of their loved ones. Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery is a perfect place for families to return, year after year, in remembrance and honor.

Sometimes one family member wants to be buried and another wishes to be cremated, yet they want to be together. Because we know this to be a common wish, Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery makes it simple for families. We can easily arrange for a common burial of both your loved ones in the same plot.

We would be honored to guide you through the cemetery grounds, explore your perspectives, and make suggestions. Ultimately, the decision is in your hands; but our expertise can certainly guide you.

Cremation Options

Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery maintains a variety of facilities for the interment of cremated remains, giving you a full selection of urns, niches, mausoleums and urn gardens. For those families who desire it, we’re also able to combine in-ground burial for both casketed and cremated remains.

Cremation niches are available in the outdoor cremation garden. These niches accommodate one or two urns and are memorialized with flush bronze memorials.

Landscaped with trees, a flowing water feature, and beautiful flower beds and gardens provides families with a uniquely tranquil setting.

We also provide bench and statue memorial interment of cremated remains.

Mausoleums allow for above ground entombment in either community buildings or specially designed family structures. At one time the advantages of mausoleum entombment were available only to royalty, the famed or the very wealthy. Well-known mausoleums include the Taj Mahal, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and Egyptian Pyramids. Mausoleum property is now affordable to most everyone. The only mausoleum in Preston County is located at our Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The existing mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery is a community mausoleum with crypt space for single caskets or two caskets and cremation niches which can hold one to two cremations

With beautiful architecture, our community mausoleum begs to be experienced.

Private Family Mausoleums

Only just recently have family mausoleums become an affordable and viable option for more and more families. Annual sales of family mausoleums have increased 2200% in the past 20 years and are expected to continually increase in the future. Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery offers space for these private mausoleums.

Selecting a family mausoleum is a sound and permanent investment requiring thoughtful, thorough consideration of many factors. We suggest an orderly step-by-step approach to eliminate uncertainties, minimize expenses and assure selection of the family mausoleum that meets all of your requirements.
