Lucille Jean (Gidley) Sisler, 94, of Kingwood, WV, formerly of Lenox, died on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Preston Memorial Hospital. Lucille was born December 4, 1924, in Albright, a daughter of the late Richard Melvin and Laura Maude (Cramer) Gidley.
She was a long-time member of the Lenox Homemakers and the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Albright, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and served as treasurer for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother. great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Lucille enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, and plastic canvas crafts.
She is survived by one granddaughter and spouse, Amanda (Sisler) and Tyler DeBarr of Reedsville; one grandson, Lester Sisler of Bridgewater, VA; two great-grandchildren, Ashlynn and Colton DeBarr of Reedsville; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard “Rick” Sisler; two sisters, Virginia Ross and Elda Goff; three brothers, Robert Norwood Gidley Sr., Melvin “Kinks” Gidley and Calvin Glendean Gidley.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, from 2-4 and 6-8pm; on Thursday, January 31, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Joe Lamm officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Kingwood.
