Valerie Jean (Stalnaker) Shingleton, age 70, of Kingwood, WV died Sunday, August 4, 2019 at her home.
Born December 23, 1948, in Morgantown, she was a daughter of the late Betty Jean (Stalnaker) Eddy.
Valerie was a businesswoman, having been affiliated with several businesses in the Kingwood area, she was a beautician for over 20 years, followed by the owner of Creative Expressions for 12 years. She clerked for the Dairy Mart and Circle K Convenience Stores. She was a 1967 graduated of Kingwood High School. She enjoyed making crafts, flower arranging, painting and most of all being with her family and people in the community.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Keith Allen Shingleton; one daughter, Raecheal Shaw and spouse, Danny; one sister, Pamela Thomas and spouse, Logan; three grandchildren, Quentessa Friend, Thumper Friend and Scott Bexfield; two great-grandchildren, Kwenton Friend and Aaliyah Friend.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Argarbrite officiating. Cremation services will be provided by the Rotruck-Lobb Crematory in Kingwood.
