Bertha Detar, 57, of Dover, PA, formerly of Tunnelton, WV, died on Friday, February 23, 2018, at York Hospital.
Bertha was born April 18, 1960, in Oakland, MD, a daughter of the late Samuel Alfred and Helena Dorothy (White) Lipscomb.
She enjoyed 4 wheeling, traveling with her husband James and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, James Detar of Dover, PA; mother-in-law, Barbara Ann Detar of Adamsburg, PA; seven siblings and spouses, Arnold and Sharon Lipscomb of Parsons, Cheryl Moats of Oakland, MD, Brad and Marilyn Lipscomb of Kingwood, Herbert and Kathy Lipscomb of Tunnelton, Martha and Stanley Roby of Masontown, Karen Lipscomb of Kingwood, Loria and Lee Moats of Tunnelton; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Grover Lipscomb; father-in-law, Leslie Detar.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street, on Monday, February 26, 2018, from 3-8pm; on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Rotha Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Tunnelton.
