Cindy Ann Funk

Cindy Ann (Kisner) Funk, 53, of Kingwood, WV, died on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Cindy was born December 8, 1963, in Oakland MD, a daughter of Patricia Ann (Syruws) Kisner of Kingwood and the late Robert Dean Kisner.

Cindy was a 1982 graduate from Central Preston High School. After high school she earned her degree in Speech Pathology from WVU. Cindy worked for the Preston County Board of Education as a Speech Pathologist for 5 years. She enjoyed reading her bible every day, working cross word puzzles, but most of all enjoyed time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Kingwood where she taught Sunday school.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter, Kristi Dawn (Funk) Tennant of Kingwood; sisters, Kimberly Dawn Kisner (Tanya Michael) of New Geneva, PA, Debra Wolfe (Todd) of Ocean Springs, MS; two grandchildren, Payton Tennant, Seth Tennant; niece Heather Losh of Kingwood and nephew, Bryant Losh Jr. of Biloxi, MS; and a special friend, Scott Funk of Kingwood; caregiver, Shyla Stonebreaker of Kingwood.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Stanley and Evelyn Syruws and her paternal grandparents, Offut and Almedia Kisner.

Friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel on Friday, November 24, 2017, from 4-8pm; Saturday, November 25, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Marshall Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Kingwood.
