Mildred Lucille Titchenell

Mildred "Lucille" (Strahin) Titchenell, 89, of Kingwood, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Kingwood.

She was born March 10, 1927, in Vindex, MD, a daughter of the late Arthur and Sarah (McDaniel) Strahin. She married her husband, Troy Titchenell on December 10. 1947, and they were married 43 years when he passed away in 1991.

She was a 1945 graduate of Terra Alta High School.

Lucille, as she was always known by her middle name, is survived by a daughter, Connie (Hovatter) Miller; two sons, Troy Titchenell Jr. (Maxine), Steven Eric Titchenell, all of Kingwood; step-daughter, Delores Hodgdon (Art) of Katy, TX; two brothers, Ralph Strahin (Tincy) of Baxter, TN, Albert Strahin (Willa) of Philippi; two sisters, Clara Hipp (Jim) of Haymarket, VA, Mary Alice Crow (Oscar) of Hanover, PA; grandsons, Daniel Hodgdon, Brian Hodgdon, Wayne Everly, Andy Everly, Chris Titchenell; granddaughters, Aimee Everly Markley, Lauren Titchenell Lint; 14 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Gladys Hovatter; step-granddaughter, Donna Hovatter Day; brothers, Charles, Melvin and Freddie Strahin; sisters, Virginia McNear, Opal Sypolt and Betty Bishop Chandler; sons-in-law, Jack Hovatter, Richard Miller and Donald Hovatter.

Friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Michael Argarbrite and Rev. Mike Harriman officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery following the service.
