Watson B. "Red" Maier, 79, of Center Twp., Pa., passed away Wednesday December 9, 2015, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Watson was born April 14, 1936, in Tunnelton, WV, a son of the late John and Bessie (Cool) Maier.
Mr. Maier retired from the tin mill of LTV Steel in Aliquippa, with 42 years of service. He was a member of the Monaca-Center Masonic Lodge #791.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Adelaide (Wiles) Maier; three devoted children, William (Sandra) Maier of Helotes, TX, Vickie McCoy of Dallas, GA, and Lynn Davidson of Monaca; 6 grandchildren, Katie, Tyler and Jacob Davidson, Lauren and Gavin Maier, and Shelby Small; his sisters-in-law, Lovie Maier, Linda Maier, Mabel Maier and Joyce Maier; several nieces and nephews, and his best canine companion, "BoBo".
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street; on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend David Spence, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery-Tunnelton, WV.
