Zakory Thomas Casteel, 23, of Tunnelton, WV, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Ruby Memorial Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Zakory was born July 9, 1994, in Morgantown, a son of William "Bill" Dale Casteel and companion, Aletha Gray of Tunnelton and Marie (Gribble) Smith and companion, Barry Burton Jr. of Kittanning, PA.
He was a 2013 graduate of Preston High School. He was a 2016 graduate of Wyotech in Blairsville, PA. Zakory worked as a pipe fitter out of Morgantown for API and for Ace Hardware in Kingwood. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling and camping.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Seth Casteel of Tunnelton; two sisters and spouse, Ashley Nichole (Casteel) and Brenton Thayer of Kittaning, PA, Claire Gray of Morgantown; three nephews, River, Bowie "Bo Bo", and Malachi Thayer; paternal grandparents, Tyrone and Margaret Casteel of Tunnelton; maternal grandparents, Tom and Wilma Gribble of Kingwood; Grandma Clayton of Clarksburg; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; his cat Ashes; his dogs, Mia and Macey.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel; 295 South Price Street, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Ray Frankhouser officiating. Following the service, cremation services will be under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Crematory.
