Connie Lorraine Clark, 55, of Kingwood, WV, died on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood.
Connie was born on November 21, 1964 in Kingwood, a daughter of Lynwood Rowe and Shirley (Rosier) Clark of Kingwood.
Connie was an honor student who excelled in athletics. She was chosen as all-state honorable mention in basketball her sophomore year. She was recognized at a young age for her ability to work with people & volunteered at a camp for handicapped children. She loved playing the trumpet in the marching band, Connie represented her high school as a buckwheat festival princess and was selected as honor student her senior year. After high school, Connie went on to get her undergrade degree from WVU in Physical Therapy and her masters from WVU in Athletic Training. She would help anyone in need who came to see her. She was a member of the Board of PT at WVU and was on the committee to select candidates to the PT program. She loved farming and her horses, and especially being outdoors and when she could, climbed Seneca Rocks.
In addition to her parents, Connie is survived by her son, Sean Michael Bernatowicz of Kingwood, three sisters and spouses, Camille and Willie Western of Reedsville, Crystal and Mark Schneider of Kingwood and Corrine Clark and Chris Missimer of Bruceton Mills; Connie’s partner, Mike Warnick and his children, McKenna & Madeline Warnick, all of Kingwood; aunts and uncles, Sue Clark of Kingwood, Miles & Maxine Clark of Kingwood, Leonard “Bud” & Jennette Rosier of Fairmont; special friends, Kim Teets & Paul Dixon, Greta McGinnis, Shawn & Tadd Rankin and Debbie DeLauder; several cousins, nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel; 295 South Price Street, on Sunday, February 9, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
