D. Jean Moore-Luke, 89, of Kingwood, formerly from Wheeling, WV, died on Sunday, November 1, 2020, at her home.
Jean was born March 30, 1931, in McKeesport, PA, a daughter of the late Irvin Elroy and Alberta (Bruce) Helsel.
She was a 1947 graduate of McKeesport High. Jean retired from Stone and Thomas as a salesclerk, she was a member of the Elm Grove Methodist Church, the Junior Women’s Club and the Miriam Chapter #1 O.E.S., all in Wheeling.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Poluga of Kingwood; three grandchildren, Matthew Poluga of Jackson Hole, WY, Lindsay Fowler of Beaverton, OR and Heidi Porter of Wheeling; 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John “Jack” Moore in 1975, and her second husband, Frank Luke in 1984; her daughter, Peggy Lee Moore; one sister, Judy Bumpers.
Cremation services are under the direction of Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel and Crematory. Private interment for the family will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling.
