Dollie Payne (Wilfong) Tacy

Dollie Payne Wilfong Tacy went home to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of July 3, 2022. She was 97 years old, born on January 28, 1925, in Greenbank, WV, a daughter of the late Jonas Wardell Wilfong and Ruth Bryant Arbogast Wilfong.

On July 5, 1941 she married Ralph Sterling Tacy, Sr. who preceded her in death. They had a large family of eight boys and four girls. she loved the Lord and loved reading her bible. She attended Rowlesburg Southern Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She also enjoyed crocheting, working in her flower garden and she especially loved all her babysitting kids.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three sons, Robert Wardell Tacy, Lester Dale Tacy, and Phillip Boyd Tacy. Surviving are nine children, Ralph Jr. and Sheila Tacy, of Willis Michigan, Sterl and Sue Tacy, of Philippi, WV, Lee Tacy, of Hambleton, WV, Glenn and Carolyn Tacy, of Sneads Ferry, NC, Walter and Ruth Tacy, of Belington, WV, Faye and Lanny Knotts, of Kingwood, WV, Sharon and Charles Martin, of Parson, WV, Judy and Rev. Neil Parson, of Parsons, WV, and Phyllis and Roger Parsons, of Danbury, NC, one sister, Gloria Yvonne Wilfong, of Michigan, many many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her request will be honored, there will be no funeral service, she will be laid to rest beside her husband
