Dorsey Lee Weaver

Dorsey Lee Weaver, 77, of Tunnelton, WV, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Grafton.

Dorsey was born February 27, 1943, in Tunnelton, a son of the late Gordon and Marie Lora (Britton) Weaver. He was a 1961 graduate of Tunnelton High School, a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. Dorsey worked at Giant Foods then retired as a Master Plumber in 2005, with over 40 years of employment and was a member of Plumber Union Local #5 in Maryland. He enjoyed bowling and race cars.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Loretta (Uphold) Weaver; one son and spouse, Scott and Doris Weaver of Linden, VA; two daughters and spouses, Jodi and Jack Redman of Fredericksburg, MD, Lori and Jerry Champaign of Clarksburg; one brother and spouse, Herbert and Linda Weaver; two sisters and spouses, Pearl and Pete Wilson of Tunnelton, Nina and Jimmy Sheets of Terra Alta; six grandchildren, Daniel Weaver, Olivia Redman, Max Redman, Darby Redman, Taylor Champaign, Peyton Champaign; several nieces and nephews; his cat Lucky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick A. “Pat” Weaver, Wesley “Pete” Weaver; niece, Angie Weaver; nephew, Mitch Weaver. Family and friends may call at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street; Monday, March 1, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-8pm; on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating.

Interment will follow at the Mt. View Cemetery. Social distancing and masks are required.
