Obituary

Margie Ellen Bauknecht, 95, of Bridgeport, WV died Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown, WV.

She was born on November 28, 1926 in Grafton and was the daughter of the late Ruben and Rosy Frances (Carver) Davis.

Margie worked at the Toledo Race Track as a bartender. She enjoyed being around her family and loved them all dearly, especially her great-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Shay; four grandchildren, Tammy McCormick (Russell), Teresa Lemar (Gary), Sonja Blaisdell Hall (Devon), and Liam Barrows; nine great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Ramona "Monie" Barrows; one great-granddaughter, Teresa Elizabeth Blaisdell; two great-grandchildren, Snow McCormick and Bradyen Shay-Cool; two sons-in-law, Darrell Shay and Merv Barrows.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Kingwood Funeral Home and Crematory, formerly Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel.
