Pearl Leona (Simmons) Moats, 103, of Kingwood, WV, died on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Preston Memorial Hospital in Kingwood.
Pearl was born September 7, 1917, in Aurora, a daughter of the late Calvin and Myrtle (Lipscomb) Simmons. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She loved walking, her horses and being with her family.
She is survived by three sons, Clarence Moats of Kingwood, Burt Moats of Borgman, and Harvey Allen Moats of Kingwood; two daughters, Margaret LaRue and Thelma “Sissy” Stonebreaker both of Kingwood; 28 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Moats in 1980; two sons, Richard Moats, Dewey Moats; five daughters, Nellie Ellen Moats, Geraldine Taylor, Bonnie Moats, Madaline Moats; four grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price Street; on Friday, October 9, from 4-8pm; on Saturday, October 10, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 pm. in the funeral home chapel with Evangelist Ronnie Wiles Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kingwood.
