Randrew "Randy" Rinehart

Randrew “Randy” Melvin Rinehart, 72, of Aurora, WV, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Preston Memorial Hospital.

Randy was born July 13, 1949, in Aurora, a son of the late Ronald Milton and Mary Ellen (Bohon) Rinehart.

He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He was an avid hunter, especially with his brothers-in-law, Mike and Bill. He loved the great outdoors, hiking, digging ginseng and ramps, and watching wildlife. He knew every hill and hollow for miles around. He enjoyed working the farm with his family. He was known for his hard work and his exceptional work ethic of always going above and beyond, his love and kindness and most of all his love and devotion for his family.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sylvia “Jean” (Patterson) Rinehart; one daughter, Debra Ann Stone and companion Donnie Friend of Terra Alta; one son and spouse, Donald and Jackie Rinehart of Ridgley; two brothers and spouse, Mark and Susie Rinehart of Terra Alta, Nick Rinehart of KY; four sisters and spouse, Jean McNally of KY, Barbara and Woody Williams of VA; Joyce Huffman of TN, Althiea Moats of AZ; three grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor of UT, Jeremy Nelson and companion Kayla of Morgantown, Amie Rinehart of Winchester, VA; three great-grandchildren. Colten, Lillian and Nathan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Rinehart; three brothers-in-law, Johnny McNally, Ron Huffman and Roy Moats.

Friends will be received at the Stemple Ridge United Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Sabrina Tenney officiating.

Interment will follow at the Stemple Ridge Cemetery where Military honors will be accorded.
