Obituary
Robert Allen Jackson, 69, of Tunnelton, West Virginia, departed this life on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown. He was born in Kingwood, March 16, 1953, a son of the late Virgil Hamilton and Edna Mae (Guthrie) Jackson. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Ann (Wolfe) Jackson.
Robert graduated from Kingwood High School in 1973, and worked in the mines as a roof bolter for many years until his retirement in 2016. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He also loved to take his side-by-side off road riding and was known for telling bad jokes.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters: Bobbi Lynn Shaffer and husband Tim, and Carrie Ann Poier and husband Ronald; two brothers: Charles Jackson and William “Bill” Jackson; three step-daughters: Robin Bohon, Cheryl and Ron Wyatt, and Wendy Cozad; 14 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Anna Mae Jackson.
Friends may call at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 South Price Street, Kingwood on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 4 pm until the Funeral Service at 6 pm with Pastor Eddie Martin officiating.
