Ruby Virginia Bolyard

Ruby Virginia (Simpson) Bolyard, 89, of Tunnelton, WV, passed away peacefully November 15, 2023, with family by her side. She was born November 3, 1934, a daughter of the late James Oliver and Gertie Ruth (Menear) Simpson. Her husband, Alston R. Bolyard preceded her in death.

Ruby was a member of the First Christian Apostolic Church of Tunnelton, she loved her church family. She enjoyed puzzles, watching the birds, the outdoors, being with family, and her card ministry. Her greatest desire was to share Jesus with everyone. She was the greatest example of God’s love, and always had a smile and a hug for everyone.

Surviving are:  six children, Bonnie (Ray) Frankhouser, Debra (Russell) Riley, Jerry Bolyard (Jean), Kenneth Bolyard (Audra), Sherry Cosner (Rick), and Pamela Johnson (Bobby); 18 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Gibson; and one brother, George Simpson.

A big thank you goes to her favorite doctor, Jason Statler, and her Hospice nurse Ashley Ice. She was blessed with an awesome group of medical personnel. Your outstanding care and heartfelt compassion will not be forgotten.

Friends may call at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price Street, Kingwood, on Saturday, Nov. 18th, 2023 from 12 noon until the funeral hour.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm, at the funeral home with Rev. Tim Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Shaw Cemetery, Denver.
