Tim loved his pets and would take in or feed any stray dog or cat that came to the house. On his frequent trips to buy pet food he would always buy extra to donate to the animal shelter.

Tim had an in-depth knowledge of Roman history and the American Civil War. From an early age he could recall the locations of battles, battle strategies, the names, and ages of the generals and along with many anecdotes. Since his childhood he developed the habit of staying up into the middle of the night to watch classic films and effortlessly recite the names of directors and cast. Tim was not fond of traveling and much preferred being at his home surrounded by the things he cherished, his wife and pets, Moe, Canute, Oliver, and Wilson. He enjoyed being around his grandchildren and watching them change as they grew from infants into school age. He especially liked reading to them. Tim was known not only for his wide breadth of knowledge but also for his quick wit and ability to make others laugh. He loved home cooked meals, and he had a reputation for being first in line to eat at family dinners.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Denise Rose Liston; two step-sons and spouses, Ethan and Darby Rouzee and Zach and Megan Rouzee, all of Kingwood; three step-grandchildren, Carson Rouzee, Lannen Kate Rouzee and Kenzley Rose Rouzee; two sisters, Beth Ann Withrow Miamisburg, OH and Paulette (Tom) Young of Warwick, RI; sister-in-law, Emily (Larry) Snyder of Kingwood; brother-in-law Anthony (Carrie) Liston of Kingwood; one uncle, Joseph Casey of Ohio; one nephew, Scott Withrow of Miamisburg, OH; one niece, Candiace (Brent) Pyles of Miamisburg, OH; three great-nephews, Liam Pyle, Austin Pyle and Parker Withrow.
