William C White

William C. “Bill” White, 95, of Kingwood, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023. He was affectionately known as “Pap” to his dear family.   

William was born December 17, 1927, a son of the late William and Elizabeth B. White. 

He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp, and was a loving husband to his late wife, Laura. He was a loving father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, neighbor and friend. 

William is survived by one son and spouse: Bob and Shelly White; one daughter: Debi Kelly; three grandsons: Wade and Amanda White, Robert and Alaina White, and Jason and Angi Kelly; six great-grandchildren: Ella and Ava White, Brody, Rowan and Jersey White, and Kodi Keener.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Laura White, in 2018; five sisters, his son-in-law, Larry Kelly, and a great-grandson, Quinton Kelly. 

Friends and family will be received at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 South Price Street, Kingwood on Tuesday, January 31st from 4 – 7 PM.  A graveside service with Reverend David D. Spence officiating will be held on Wednesday, February 1st at 1:00 PM at Maplewood Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by the honor details of VFWs and Vietnam Veterans of Preston County, and the WVANG.
